We have developed space travel, however we can't grow a planet with limited resources nor do we have any planets that are all that viable to travel to, we are at quite a big stand still in terms of planetary development. Taking care of our planet sounds easy and doable, but people are selfish and have the rights to do what they want, plus what if a world ending event happens? Overall, I would say it is way beyond what was can do right now.

why do we have to move to another planet, it only waste resources. It is much more easier to just protect our planet.
