Love can hurt. But when it does it builds us. It shows us that we were in the wrong place and helps us to move on to where we really belong.

Love is beneficial. Either you gain experience from rejection and become mentally tougher, or you take a risk, being happier and healthier.

Even heartbreak is good if you want to write soppy songs - look at Sam Smith and Adele. Yuck. Love is a good idea for pop songs.
