I feel that of we provided basic incomes, people will abuse it and not work or do little hours, overall affecting the British economy.

Poverty = lack of means. We focus so much on money we hardly look at poverty in health and we can't tackle something wr refuse to recognise.

Personally, I feel things like basic income would lead to large-scale changes to society that would end up leaving people to lazy to work.
