Can sinking islands be saved from rising sea levels?

Low-lying island communities potentially face devastation from rising sea levels. How can these communities - whose diets, economies and cultures are built upon the oceans - adapt to protect themselves from this threat? This video explores the case study of Kiribati, an island nation in the central Pacific, and how some have looked towards the creation of artificial islands. What do you think? Could this be the answer or should we be addressing the root causes of climate change instead?
